Mom’s Daily Retreat

Mom’s Daily Retreat began as an outlet for my thoughts, whether they were joyful, excited, bittersweet or frustrated thoughts. As a mother of 5, it was a way to decompress. It soon turned into so much more as I began to use other mediums for expression through photography, writing and some mixed media art and I began to connect with other kindred blogging spirits. The results of allowing myself to become immersed in this world of creativity and connections with others has become a significant part of my daily life. And while I continue to share my thoughts and experiences traveling my own personal journey in motherhood I decided to merge my professional background with my personal life and experiences by offering several classes and workshops for mom’s on the topics of life balance, career development and mothering styles. The goal of my work is to encourage other mothers to become their best as I continue to do the same. I want to see us all let ourselves off the hook of thinking we have to be perfect, to dispel the myth of the perfect mom and instead get on with living the life we were intended to live! I do this work primarily through the Mothering Authentically e-course and through one on one sessions with moms. The Mothering Authentically e-course is filled with self-discovery, insightful lessons, audio conversations, real stories from real mothers and hands on activities designed to help you in discovering your beautiful, genuine self. Although we may have our ideals of the “perfect mother,” she really does not exist. Each of us brings our own unique strengths to the job of mothering, and good mothers come in many styles. In the Mothering Authentically course the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is completed to gain a better understanding of your personality type. This information is then applied to your job as a mother so that you gain a more objective and realistic picture of your strengths, struggles, and needs as a mother.
