Memory Threads
Hey! Is it time for you to write some stories down? Are the winter months inviting you to burrow inward? Do you want some support and company in there?

Memory Threads is a mail-based class that creates a warm and inspiring space for participants to write the stories in their hearts.

Here’s how it works. Every second week, a group of writers spread across the globe receive an “inspiration pack” in their mail box – a colorful envelope packed with creative stimulation, including a theme to write about, ideas for how to get started, writing exercises, some beautiful examples of memoir on that theme, and a writing tip to take or to leave.

Participants will have two weeks to craft a story on this theme. It can be silly, serious, saucy, sad, or sobering… Every story will be read with a wide-open heart by a personal writing coach, who will travel with the participant through the season, providing supportive, thoughtful feedback and helping them come to know their voices, find the power of the stories, and learn more about what they have to say to the world.

The class runs January 26, 2011 – April 17, 2011
7 packs over 14 weeks
$295 CAD plus mail/materials fee ($20 within Canada, $30 abroad)
