We Love Our Sponsors : The Bright Side Necklace

Carolyn Rubenstein started Carolyn’s Compassionate Children when she was just 14. Originally a pen-pal program for kids living with cancer, over the past 10 years, it’s evolved into a foundation that offers scholarships & financial assistance to survivors of childhood cancer that want to go to college. But because of the burden of medical debt, side effects of treatment & limited access to financial and informational resources, many young adult cancer survivors have little hope of attending college.

Carolyn is teaming up with Chicago-based jewelry designer Jess L.C. for a new project. In September 2008 Jess launched Soc Chic, a line of necklaces that’s centered around social causes.

One of the newest necklaces in the line? The Bright Side Necklace — a chrysanthemum, which is a Japanese symbol for the sun & a reminder that after every dark night comes a brighter day. So beautiful, I ordered one today & I can’t wait to wear it!

When you check out, be sure to enter “Carolyn” in the code line — that way 40 percent of the proceeds for the necklace will go towards CCC Scholarships!!!
