Trailbreaker

solitary
one fox
yelps moonward

one voice
cracking open
this indigo shell
night

slow motion
doppler
as he
yelps
and trots
the same path
the sun just
followed

yelp
echo
silence

no
answering
voice

yelp
echo
silence

I know how he feels.

lonely this
fulfilling a
purpose
a promise
made
in the
endless
before

sometimes
that’s how
this life
feels

speak
echo
silence

no
answering
voice

speak
echo
silence
.
.
.
.
trailbreaker
changemaker
passing
through
