Today, I don’t want to be busy
I’ll write a sentence. Maybe two. Three, if necessary
I’d burn the long to-do list
And decline the blue calendar to stare at the blue sky
Today, I’ll hold two contradicting facts in my hand
And learn to be comfortable with them both being true at the same time
I’ll lean in for a kiss from mortality
Who am I without the doing?
Where do I exist without action?
Today, I won’t be busy
I’ll skip breakfast. Cook lunch. Order dinner, if necessary.
