The Power of Love

Movies depict it, many artists over the ages have created about it and let’s face it music thrives on it.

What is this thing I speak of you might ask? In its simplest form it is called LOVE.

We spend years looking for it and when we have it we often don’t appreciate what we have.

The old saying of LOVE conquers all has rung paramount for me in the last year or so.

This Wednesday I say goodbye to a lady I grew up with.

This family laid many of the foundations on which I have based my family unit. The amount of love they had for one another was inspiring. If you lived in this house you knew it was a house of love.

This beautiful lady, mum of one of my good friends at school, contracted cancer 6 years ago. I watched as she fought it with class, facing off with every demon possible. But you know what; it was that LOVE that I believe let her fight.

I watched as she and her husband stuck together – taking on every hurdle as a united front. I watched as their daughter gave love from every angle. And in my little part, I gave Love in the form of crystals, candles and home made goodies.

The Blessing here for me is very simple…LOVE does conquer all and inspires others around you to live with love in all facets of life. Although LOVE did not cure this family of The Big Terrible C, it inspired so many others to lift their game and embrace life with love.

For me, I will continue to give unconditional love to my kids and more than that, appreciate the LOVE that I have with my soul mate of 25 years.

Namaste my lovelies and may LOVE touch every facet of your life.
