“No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn.” -Hal Borland

It has been a COLD winter, and spring is finally here. Although it’s still cold and snow is still threatening, there are glimpses of hope and change. The transition from winter to spring makes me think of what happens when we begin to better ourselves. It isn’t linear, never straightforward and there is no switch that we can turn on that says “all better now”! There are good days and bad days, warmth followed by coldness. Days that, oh my gosh…we really thought we were OVER that, but here we are again.

Here is the constant, the one thing that I can promise you (and I don’t make promises lightly!)…spring is coming. No matter how crappy and cold, no matter how many feet of snow are out there…spring is coming. No matter how many days it doesn’t seem possible, spring is coming. By that same constant, change is coming for you. The only difference is that a decision needs to be made by you for this change to be made. For the changes to occur in your heart, in your mind, in your body, you MUST made a decision. A decision for kindness (towards yourself and others), a decision for healthy food (for yourself and your family), a decision for exercise (so that you can enjoy being in your body now and in later years). Once a decision is made, winter is going away. Your spring is coming. I can’t wait to enjoy it with you.

Lynn DeVasto is the owner of SuperGirl Workout. After losing 90 pounds, she made the decision to help woman be their own super-hero and find their own version of “fit and fearless”, while being true and kind to themselves in the process.
~ Important but boring stuff: She holds certifications in personal training, holistic wellness coaching, sports nutrition and barre.
~ Perhaps unimportant, but fun stuff: Wakes up every morning at 4:30 (ugh), lives with her kitty love (Brady), has yet to meet a potato she doesn’t like (especially if mashed).
