“Paris is always a good idea.” –Audrey Hepburn
I create painted letters.
I have a Letter of the Month subscription service. Each month, I create a piece of art about my life in Paris. I copy it, personalize it and mail it snail-mail style to people who crave receiving fun mail about the City of Lights… or fun mail in general. I scour the city for inspiration, stationery and stamps. Best. Job. Ever.
Each letter is hand-addressed, personalized and has a real stamp.
I add personal touches to each letter so the recipient feels like they are receiving something unique and special in the mail. Sometimes I throw in a postcard or coaster from a famous café. Whatever fun, flat things I find in Paris. It’s all about the joy of discovery for me in Paris and later for you when you get your letter in the mail.
Ordering is easy peasy.
Once you order from my shop, I send out a letter each month, just like if you ordered a magazine subscription. Four subscription options are available: 12, 6, and 3 months, or you can purchase 1 month to see if getting a painted letter in the mail fills your heart with joyful splendor. (P.S. It will.)
Gift subscriptions is the gift that keeps on giving.
I love getting an order to give as a birthday gift, or for someone going through a tough time. Letter of the Month is a nurturing gift that can make a friend smile all year long. When you open your mailbox and there is an envelope inside, there is that moment. The thrill of something fun. You walk the envelope home and you start to wonder what’s inside. Then you open it and read it, which is it’s own delight.
“It really perks me up on these dark winter days.” — My mom.
Ah shucks, mommy. Thanks.
But it’s a nurturing gift for yourself as well.
Treating yourself to fun mail from Paris is akin to a hot bubble bath, high-quality chocolate and the new issue of Oprah. Ooh la la!
À bientôt!
With love and light,
Janice MacLeod
P.S. Keep up on my Paris adventures at my blog, After the Artist’s Way.

Janice MacLeod spent a dozen years as a copywriter in various advertising agencies in Canada and the USA. As she neared burnout, she formed an exit strategy. After a year of saving cash, tossing the contents of her apartment and building courage, she left her job and flung herself to foreign lands. On a trip to Paris, she fell delightfully, wonderfully, and peacefully in love with Christophe who was working in the butcher shop across the café where she gazed at him with soft eyes and an open heart. She now lives in Paris. With him. She is an artist. Keep up on her hijinks at After the Artist’s Way. |
