The above photo was taken with my iPod (& put through an Instagram filter) just two weeks ago. I was so excited to see the tree in our backyard bloom this year. We moved into our home last year just after all the petals fell off, what a gift to witness it blossom this Spring. It has been “snowing” here for the last few days, the petals have blanketed the yard, they get carried in the house on the bottom of our sandals. Yesterday, Kurt was picking petals from my hair. The pretty “mess” got me thinking about creativity & trust & how nature creates without haste, without reservation, & how beautiful anything can be if you just see it that way. Everything is buzzing with energy, leaves are popping out of their buds, color is bursting from bushes & planter boxes… I’ve been on this planet for 30 years & the transformation never ceases to dazzle me into delight. My sense of wonder deepens, I am acutely aware of every scent & sound, swimming around in it all is pure bliss.
Things are “looking up” on every level & in every direction for my family & I because we choose to steer our lives that way. Brakes are applied when needed, the road isn’t smooth all the time but we fill up our soul tanks with laughter, we kiss, we play. We love. We live. We are.
What are you looking up at?
Next week’s theme, starting Thursday, May 19th is : Stacks : watch for the post to join in! Have fun!
