When Amanda asked me to do a guest post for Kind Over Matter I immediately smiled from within, first because I consider her blog the most powerful combination of inspiration + beauty in a single website that I’ve ever seen. I was also grateful because it forced me to share a story of kindness that is very dear to my heart and although it made me feel some intense emotions, I feel that it can connect with your heart in some small way.

Today I’m sharing the kindness of a loving person called Linda who has been an angel to my entire family and whose actions surpass anything I can express on this video today. It’s safe to say that her kind presence and guide allowed my father to die with much more love and zero fear after a hard fought battle with cancer. As you listen to this story I would like to challenge you to do whatever you can to be that kind angel for someone. It certainly does not have to be by helping someone die with more love, but through whatever gift you’re here to share.
