Have You Ever Seen a Motionless Hummingbird?

This poem is in the form of a collection of minisons, or minimal sonnets.

secret hideaway
drinking ice tea
heat shrivels me

spying whir-bird
sipping nectars
sees me watching

forever hoverer
rests on ivy vine
wings fall still

caught drowsing
a miracle moment
once in a lifetime

witnessed magic
maybe a daydream
or maybe it’s real
