Descending Ghosts

I decided I’d find a way to live and die

by the distractions that descend.

Each move pulls me apart.

Each word transcends time.

And I find the need for cohesiveness

So the thoughts are formed

And they are prayers in which I’m made better.

There’s only one way in

Only one way out

Trapping myself inside means

I’m being haunted by all I wanted away from.

These paths become the sacred.

If the ghosts find their way in

Fear will no longer be the issue

As I will show them politely out.

All I am is divine

And even the darkness

Won’t usher in fear.

The creations hum their own tune

And it will be a song to remember

As it will be my very own map

Back to myself.

I’ll never lose who I am –

Not again.
