Birthing Our Work

in the beginning…

inspiration
indecision
“A-ha!”
“No. Wait…”
“Who do you think you are?”
“This is true and real and needed.”
wrangling and tussling
through sleepless
nights
slipping into
meditations
and conversations

taking form
in bursts and lags
through fog and
crystal mornings

finally
decisively
rising
from the
deep
rich
crimson red
core
of our
hearts
roaring with
conviction

imaginations unfurled
in a tumbling rush
of creative flow
unleashed

surfing
breath
waves
inspiration………expiration………inspiration again

until there is only
the pulsing desire
to give life
to birth
to take a
deep breath and

fling our newborn dreams
into the teeth of chaos

knowing we made them well
knowing they will take hold

trusting their ferocious strength
to write a new world
a fiercely loving world
into being.
