A Learning Curve

In the evolving moments of this experience,
I’ve discovered a sense of reverence –
for the lessons it has taught, for the quiet acceptance of what needed to be
and for the never ending love shown to me.
and though the terrain explored was rugged and dark,
I found so much truth hiding in my heart.
the fears, the worries and
the seemingly unending stress may be a little more bearable, but it doesn’t alter the fact there is an empty space, which is a fact I simply cannot escape. communications have changed which have ushered in a kind of peace like no other,
but we are speaking about the heart of this mother.
we have all experienced an event so life changing, and that has resulted in some serious rearranging.
and the freedom is something I’m so grateful for,
but I’ll always feel sad when
you don’t walk through that door.
