That morning I heard
Your ghost’s whisper
And feelings of longing
Took center stage.
Briefly, I thought
I needed a crash landing.
And the wondering
Of the mind goes to that place.
Contemplating if this time
Is well spent,
The sun creeps up
Just as I am getting used to the moon.
My days are not meant
For this and not for you.
Your thoughts flow
Downhill and I allow it.
In between breaths
I find where things
Make sense.
As the dawn breaks
From the peak of sunlight
To the time the moon
Greets me once again,
Gradually, the chaos
Becomes moments of
Peaceful clarity.
