We Are All Annoying

You have to mind yourself while you’re minding others when living in a community. This was one of the main things I hadn’t realized when I first started living in a place full of others. It was honestly one of the largest challenges I’d ever faced (even more of a challenge than lifting 500 lbs. on a dead-lift or squat – which was painful by the way). I’m not going to spend all of my time (or this article) talking about myself. It’s essentially about dealing with people while living in a group community.

Duplicity

There is nothing worse in the world than a double standard. We are all annoying pieces of crap, literally. We all do things that annoy the mess out of other people (redundant but true). I can’t get mad when you walk around with no shirt on when I walk around with no shirt on, right? It’s very simple. If you notice that we all do bs, then it’s easy to handle the things that other people do. Aside from that, we all have different personalities. Again, if you notice your personality can be a bit much to handle, it makes it very easy to handle the personalities of others.

Understanding

Understanding what another does and why they do it makes it much easier to deal with them. And…you know what? While we’re on the topic of understanding – understand another means to understand yourself as well, which is vital.

Conclusion

In a nutshell…understanding and dealing with others is much easier than we make it seem. It’s not difficult to mind yourself while minding others. It’s not beneficial to isolate yourself from people. We don’t know how to deal with people unless we deal with them. If you’re isolated, you don’t notice things about yourself either.
