Have you ever felt like a quote is chasing you? Showing up everywhere you go? That’s how I feel about this quote. It keeps coming up in my life, over and over. I a huge fan of Maya Angelou’s work, and this is probably my favorite quote of hers. I’ve known about it for some time, but recently, it just keeps showing up.
I saw the word “Kindsight” recently, and it spoke to me. I think Kindsight is the essence of this quote. Instead of looking at our past with judgement, let’s look at it with Kindsight.
We’ve all said and done things we regret. If you’re anything like me, you tend to hold those things against yourself, at least for a little while. Maybe it’s even easier for you to forgive someone else, than it is to forgive yourself.
I’d be willing to bet that you did the best you could, with what you knew at the time.
Now you know better.
What a gift of self-love it is to shift your perspective from judgement to Kindsight. Join me in looking back on your self, your choices and your decisions with Kindsight.
Now that you know better, I know you’ll do better.
Thank you for being on this journey with me.
