Happy April 1

I never “got” April Fool’s Day. I never understood playing jokes on people that would in turn make them feel less than. Perhaps it’s because I am so gullible and was the brunt of many of these jokes. Perhaps it’s because I’m not clever enough to come up with them on my own.

Regardless, I propose a new tradition. I propose that we have April Fun Day. How about it? Let’s do something that makes ourselves and others feel, well, just fun! I wonder what this could look like. For me, it would look like this…I would go and buy myself some flowers, and then give them to a few of my favorite people. I would go and give big smoochies to the people that I love. One of my favorite people, Lara Heacock, just sewed ears and a cottontail on an alligator to make him a “Bunnigator”. Why? Well…it’s just fun! I have a small (ahem) post-it addiction, so one of my closest friends recently bought me owl post-its. Man oh man, they make me smile every time I see them! I may go hiking outside of Philadelphia because that is one of my favorite things to do. Whatever it is, I will make it fun.

I hereby do solemnly swear, no wait…
I hereby do swear (damn), no wait…
I hereby do intend to have fun on April 1. Let all the “stuff” go, know that it can be figured out another day. Just have fun, I can’t wait to tell you all about my day and I would love to hear what you did just for fun.

Lynn DeVasto is the owner of SuperGirl Workout. After losing 90 pounds, she made the decision to help woman be their own super-hero and find their own version of “fit and fearless”, while being true and kind to themselves in the process.
~ Important but boring stuff: She holds certifications in personal training, holistic wellness coaching, sports nutrition and barre.
~ Perhaps unimportant, but fun stuff: Wakes up every morning at 4:30 (ugh), lives with her kitty love (Brady), has yet to meet a potato she doesn’t like (especially if mashed).
